“The Future of Storytelling” Mass humanities 50th anniversary
On June 28th, I photographed “The future of storytelling” a Mass Humanities event at Mill 1 Events in Holyoke. The day consisted of a two-part workshop and reception that celebrated their 50th anniversary while also affirming the centrality of storytelling in the cultural nonprofit sector. Mass Humanities grantees, staff, board and former board members, community partners, and local legislators came together to celebrate the cultural sector and forge new connections in Holyoke. “The Future of Storytelling,” event featured performances by poets from The Care Center, as well a vibrant performance by Bomba de Aquí and Tony Silva.
Throughout the event, I had the opportunity to take portraits of key attendees, including Mass Humanities grantees, staff, board members, and local legislators. These portraits serve as visual anchors, connecting faces to the important work being done in the cultural sector. As a headshot photographer, I strive to capture the essence and personality of each individual, creating images that are both professional and approachable.
Events like "The Future of Storytelling" underscore the value of professional event photography. High-quality images not only document the occasion but also serve as powerful marketing tools for future events and grant applications. They help organizations like Mass Humanities showcase their impact and reach to potential donors, partners, and community members.
