Capturing amanda

Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing Amanda for a series of professional portraits. This session showcased the power of lighting, posing, and wardrobe choices to create an impactful headshot. We began with classic headshots, using soft lighting to highlight Amanda's features. Her purple blouse provided a lovely pop of color against the neutral background. We captured a range of expressions from warm and approachable to more serious and authoritative. For variety, we also did some three-quarter length portraits. Amanda's relaxed poses gave these a more casual, editorial feel while still maintaining professionalism.

To add visual interest, I experimented with reflections and double exposures. These portraits conveyed Amanda's artistic side. We finished with dramatic black and white portraits that emphasized shape and form. The contrast and shadows in these images create a striking, timeless look.

Throughout the session, my goal was to make Amanda feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. I find that clear direction and positive feedback help bring out authentic expressions. My goal is to have my client feel like they’re sitting down with me, not my camera.

Whether you need headshots for your corporate website, LinkedIn profile, or personal branding, a professional portrait session can help you make a strong first impression. I'd love to work with you to create images that showcase your unique personality and help you reach your professional goals.
